Stakeholders at a programme on Tuesday stressed the need for running campaigns to raise awareness about cervical and breast cancer.
Representatives of Nepal Cancer Disease Prevention Organisation said that women suffering from breast and cervical cancer often tend to hide their problems, which could complicate the disease and become life threatening as treatment cannot be done on time. Ishwor Shrestha, chairman of the organisation, said most of the women do not disclose their problems related to cervical and breast cancer. “The community should be aware about the disease. Patients showing the symptoms of cervical and breast cancer should seek medical attention,” said Shrestha.
