Transitional homes, school buildings handed over

Chaudhary Foundation has built the homes for earthquake-affected people based at Baseri of the district. Baseri is one of the most-affected village development committees in the district.
At an event organised in Baseri on Monday, Assistant Chief District Officer (CDO) of Dhading Ram Mani
Mishra and Chaudhary Foundation officials handed over the homes to the affected community.
Speaking at the programme, Chaudhary Foundation Chairman Binod Chaudhary criticised the slow progress in rehabilitating earthquake-affected people.
“It is our responsibility to provide an abode for those who lost their homes in the quake. Chaudhary Foundation continues to work along that direction,” he said.
At a separate event organised in Salyantar of Dhading, the foundation handed over two earthquake resistant buildings to local school management committees. Mishra and Foundation officials handed over the buildings built for Ranipauwa Higher Secondary School of Salyantar-4 and Kamaladevi Lower Secondary School of Salyantar-8.
Each of the buildings built under the CG Shikshyalaya project, houses four classrooms accommodating 40 students. The foundation has been implementing CG Ashraya and CG Shikshyalaya projects in districts affected by last year’s earthquakes, according to a press release.
