Govt to collect data of quake-hit households in Lamjung
An official at the Central Bureau of Statistics says engineers will start digital data compilation from December 30
Dec 22, 2016- The government has started the process of collecting data of earthquake-affected households in Lamjung district. The engineers of National Reconstruction Authority will be mobilised in the earthquake-hit areas of the district to collect damage details as per the record verified by the Local Development Officer, according to Yagyamurti Bhandari of Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
The CBS has set up its office to facilitate the digital data collection process in the district.
Bhandari said the engineers will start collecting data from December 30. The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) will mobilise 61 engineers for the task. The process is expected to take two months.
The quake-affected households will receive the first instalment of housing reconstruction aid from the National Reconstruction Authority once the data has been compiled and verified, Bhandari said. The Home Ministry has put 24,737 homes in the district on the quake-affected list.
NRA starts verification of aid applications
BHARATPUR: The NRA has started to verify the aid applications received in Chitwan. The NRA has received 18,752 applications seeking reconstruction aid. A team, including the CBS staff and technicians, will verify the applications by visiting the quake-hit areas. NRA chief Sushil Gyewali said the households eligible to receive the aid will be finalised after the technicians have verified them.
