Rai’s team secure Pro-Am honour

Rai was drawn with amateurs Shekhar Limbu, BM Sunwar, and Rohit Acharya to earn 153 points to win the Pro-Am title. Rai scored 37, Limbu accumulated 40, Sunwar and Rohit earned 38 points each. The team of pro Dhana Bahadur Thapa (36) and amateurs Uttam Rai (37), Suresh Shrestha (37) and Dhruba Thapa (37) ended up as runners-up with 147 total points. Shiva Ram Shrestha (36), who won the main tournament on Wednesday, and his amateur team of Santosh Karki (36) Ritesh Tamang (36), and Rupendra Gurung (36) finished third on 144 points.
Shekhar Limbu had the best individual score 37 to win the trophy while Shushila Rai took the best individual female trophy with 15 points. Dal Bahadur Lama won the closest-to-the-pin and General Secretary of Nepal Golf Association (NGA) Tashi Ghale got longest drive awards. In all, 60 players including 15 pros took part in the event played under stableford format with full handicap allowance. NGA General Secretary Ghale among others gave away the prizes.
