“At present, we are managing the load. But in the near future factory owners may have to operate industries at 50 percent capacity from 5 am to 9 am,” NEA Managing Director Kulman Ghising told an interaction organised by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), the largest umbrella body of the private sector, adding, “It would very helpful, if you could manage to do that.”
He further said: “We, at NEA, are trying to supply adequate electricity to everyone, but in the worst case scenario, you might have to become little flexible.”
During the event, the FNCCI hailed Energy Minister Janardan Sharma and NEA MD Ghising for making sincere efforts to eliminate power cuts from the country.
