Drinking water project nears completion
The Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office (DWSDO) has completed 80 percent of the works of a drinking water project in Majhphant, Parbat.The Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office (DWSDO) has completed 80 percent of the works of a drinking water project in Majhphant, Parbat. Prem Prasad Dotel, chief of the DWSDO, said the project will be completed within this running fiscal year.
Around 800 families in Pakhathar, Gairatol, Nepane, Dosalle, Chamillakharka, Gaureti, Rakhalbisauna, Chaurphanta, Pokhariphant, Ratadhunga, Kajinne, Barthana, Bhawanipani, Chammare and Majhphant VDCs will receive water from Pumdi stream at their homes after the project is completed.
Engineer Tilak Khatri of the DWSDO said they have already completed the construction of a water intake, main supply line and distribution chamber. The water project is being constructed with 80 percent investment from the DWSDO and 20 percent from the locals.
