Support pours in for family of slain forest guard

Forest employees across the country have decided to donate a day’s salary to the family of slain forest guard Ganesh Shahi. District Forest Officer of Taplejung Madhav Dev said the District Forest Office has also decided to provide additional Rs 200, 000 to Shahi’s family. He said Shahi’s family will receive around Rs 4 million in total. Shahi, who hailed from Jajarkot district, was murdered by a Tek Bahadur Limbu of Khokling VDC in the district over a land boundary dispute on Sunday. He was cremated on Thursday. (PR)
