Political consensus must for polls: Shashank

Koirala suggested that the differences seen between the political parties over the constitution amendment bill tabled in Parliament could be brushed off in favour of other issues.
“Since the proposal to change the provincial boundaries has not gone well with the people, we should put the issue on hold before participating in the local polls,” Koirala said at a programme organised by the British Gurkha Nepalese Council in the Capital on Monday.
Let us tread the path of economic revolution by committing ourselves to constitution implementation, Koirala said.
“We should at least have minimum understanding among major political forces to go to the polls.”
