Artists to be anthologised in a book

According to Madhav Pradhan, Head of the organisation’s Dance Department and member of the Academy, the collection of artist’s profile from various districts has already commenced.
At an event on Sunday, Pradhan announced that a team under his leadership have already completed the collection of artist profiles in districts like Terathum, Dhankuta and soon will compile information about artists hailing from other districts.
One of the members of the team, Kulraj Niraula, said, “We plan on including artists from various genres whether it be folk, theatre, or pop music.” He added, “The collection of artist’s profile according to their district will go on till the end of this year.” Niraula said that this program initiated by the Chancellor of the Academy and playwright, Saru Bhakta, will help preserve the contribution of various artists in this field.
Veteran artist Chandra Shrestha said this program will help artist immensely by promoting them.
The programme, organised by Academy in collaboration with Salleri Sahitya Sangam, was attended by various literary figures and artists. The chairperson of the Sahitya Sangam, Ramchandra Adhikari, also presented a report about musical and theatrical undertakings of the organisation.
