Members of Chinese think tanks in Capital
A high-level 14-member delegation of Chinese think tanks arrived in Kathmandu on Monday at the invitation of Xinhua News Agency (Kathmandu Bureau) for a five-day visit.A high-level 14-member delegation of Chinese think tanks arrived in Kathmandu on Monday at the invitation of Xinhua News Agency (Kathmandu Bureau) for a five-day visit.
The delegation will be participating in the two-day “China-Nepal Think Tank Conference-2017” to be organised by the Kathmandu bureau of China’s official news agency on Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to a press statement, during the two-day event, experts from China and Nepal will share views on various issues including political parties’ role in Sino-Nepali relationship, role of media in cementing friendly cooperation between the two countries, the One Belt One Road Initiative introduced by the Chinese leadership, China-India-Nepal trilateral partnership as well as Economic and Cultural Corridor (CINECC).
CPN-UML Chairman and former prime minister KP Sharma Oli has consented to be the chief guest of the function.
The main objective of the symposium is to strengthen cooperation between the Chinese and Nepali think tanks and institutions so as to enhance bilateral relations.
