Another feather has been added to Kalo Pothi’s already illustrious hat. The acclaimed Min Bahadur Bham-directorial has bagged the Gautam Buddha Award at the International Film Festival in Dharan, which drew to a close on Monday. The award boasts a cash purse of $1000.
Similarly, Blank Page, directed by Aina Meredova, bagged the Mount Everest Award, with a cash purse of $500; and Jadui Machhali won the Rara Award.
Under the Panaroma category, the Dinesh Palpali-directorial biopic Balkrishna Sam won Ririjanga Award; Ma Alap Huna Chahanchhu, directed jointly by Sachin Ghimire and Gaurav KC, won the Best Documentary award; while Jhalo, directed by Senang Gyamjo Tamang, won the Chturman Rajbansi Award.
The last day of the fest also saw a Theatre and Acting Workshop where French professor of film studies Dr Dragon Milinkovic shared his experience and shed light on how film and theatre differ from each other.
