Book on foreign policy discussed in Nepalgunj
Feb 2, 2017-
Author Krishna Prasad Sigdyal’s book on Nepal’s foreign policy—Nepal: Chhimek ra Bishwa—was launched amid a function in Nepalgunj, on Tuesday; the book was already released in Kathmandu in mid-January.
Speaking at the event, author Sigdyal said, “I have tried to incorporate Nepal’s relationship and dynamics with its neighbours in terms of economy and politics in the book.” He added, “Even though I have based my arguments on facts, readers are welcome to interpret it and decide if they want to agree with it or not.”
Attended by scholars, foreign policy enthusiasts and journalists, the event saw a discussion concerning the issues the book explores.
Speaking at the event, Sanat Regmi said, “This book explores one of the burning issues of today’s political discourse—the country’s relationship with its neighbours—and is an important document for future reference, given its detailed outlook on Nepal’s foreign policy.”
