NRA chief lays foundation stone for integrated settlement
Quake survivors of 58 risky areas to be shifted to integrated settlement
Feb 2, 2017-National Reconstruction Authority Chief Executive Officer Govind Raj Pokharel laid the foundation stone for the construction of an integrated model settlement in Giranchaur, Melamchi Municipality-8, on Wednesday.
Locals have taken the initiative to construct the integrated settlement in Giranchaur. Speaking at the programme, Pokharel said the integrated settlement will be modelled on an integrated settlement built by the Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation.“Locals should unite to construct the settlement here,” said Pokharel, adding that the government will take initiatives to construct integrated settlements in other earthquake-affected districts as well.
According to CEO Pokharel, quake survivors living in 58 risky areas will be shifted to the integrated settlement soon.
The NRA has already released fund for distributing the second tranche of housing reconstruction aid to district development committees, said the NRA chief executive officer.
