The implementation of the master plan could lessen Karnali’s poverty by 21 per cent in the coming decade, Poudel said.

Prime Minister Dahal said he will discuss the master plan with his Cabinet after studying it. Saying that he will give utmost priority to Karnali region development, the prime minister also instructed the commission to come up with a substantive work plan from its side.

As in the past, Dahal vowed, Karnali’s development will not happen with plans based only on documents.
