Actor Sweta Khadka along with other benevolent persons has pledged to build an integrated model home for 63 quake-affected Majhi families who have been living in pitiable condition in flimsy huts at Thulosirubari in Sindhupalchok even 21 months after the disaster. Khadka, who reached the settlement on Saturday, made the announcement of the integrated model settlement with modern facilities.

“We are going to initiate a campaign to bring out a change to the situation in this settlement. We came here to meet you and learn about your problems. We will soon build the integrated settlement,” said Khadka during a gathering of the villagers. The Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation has constructed an integrated model settlement at Giranchaur in the same district.

The settlement has 65 houses, five children parks and a community building for the quake victims.
