The party discussed to form a military wing to conduct people’s revolution, said a central member after a closed session on Sunday. “It is clearly mentioned in the proposed political report presented by General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’,” he said.
The representatives have also advised the party leadership to form people’s government, people’s court and military wing during the closed session which has been going on in Thawang, Rolpa, since Friday.
Dal Bahadur Khatri, Rolpa secretary of the party, said the supporters were annoyed with the moniker “Maoist” and wanted to change the party’s name.
“People have negative views towards the Maoist party which had led a decade-long armed revolution,” he said.
Expressing dissatisfaction towards the comprehensive peace agreement and peace process, the party organised the national convention in Thabang with an objective to launch another armed revolution. The party had constructed a building to organise the convention in Thabang in Rs20 million.
