Heritage pageant auditions end
The first round of auditions for the second iteration of the beauty pageant Miss Indigenous Heritage Nepal-2017 concluded this week in the Capital.The first round of auditions for the second iteration of the beauty pageant Miss Indigenous Heritage Nepal-2017 concluded this week in the Capital. Fifty contestants were selected out of the total 82 during the auditions held at Sampada Garden Resort in Lazimpat.
Speaking about the pageant, chairperson of the organisers—Pacific Event Management, Phupu Tenzing Sherpa, informed, “We will be holding a second phase of the auditions this week and will select 10 more contestants. We will have 60 contestants at the final competition.”
The first round of the auditions was judged by a panel comprising of the winner of Super Model Nepal-2016 Icchya Karki, model Bipana Thapa, businessman Ujjwal Krishna Shrestha, Miss Indigenous Heritage Nepal-2016’s winner Rubusha Manandhar, chairperson of RNR Group Manju Shrestha, choreographer Rojin Shrestha and Model Quest-2016’s winner Nirisha Bashnet and Amarjyoti Ranjit.
The final 60 contestants will be led through rounds of workshops and trainings that focus on the contestants’ personality development. They will also be given trainings on tradition, art and other various aspects of indigenous culture by choreographer Rojan Shakhya and cultural experts.
The finale of the pageant will be held on March 27 at Nepal Academy, Kamaladi.
