Unions padlock campuses

In Urlabari, three student unions—Sanghiya Bidyarthi Union, Naya Shakti Student Union and Samajadi Student Forum—padlocked the Urlabari Multiple Campus putting forth six demands.
Binod Limbu, chairman of the SSF, said they have demanded scrapping the admission of fake students for the sake of free and fair elections.
In Siraha, supporters of various student unions padlocked the JS Muraraka Multiple Campus demanding timely election. The agitated students also vandalised campus property, said Krishnaraj Upadhyay, a staff member.
Following disputes, student unions padlocked 12 campuses in Chitwan. Dev Pathak, district chair of the ANNFSU, said there was no environment to hold the FSU polls in the institutions. Students padlocked Maiyadevi Kanya, Balkumari, Sahid Smriti, Sahid Smarak, Saptagandaki, Arundoya, Janadarsha, Birendra, Amar Janashakti, Bhuwanishankar, Madi and Umawadi Adarsha Campuses.
