NRA asks govt to issue budget for resettlement

A meeting of the NRA Executive Committee presided by NRA Chief Executive Officer Govinda Raj Pokhrel on Friday recommended the government to provide the amount to the families from those settlements that were rendered uninhabitable by the earthquakes of 2015, NRA Spokesperson Yam Lal Bhusal said.
The NRA survey of 213 geological risk-prone settlements had identified 55 highly vulnerable settlements, with 1,089 households that needed resettlement.
The NRA has also decided to include 15,743 people from 14 of the 17 quake-hit districts on the list of grant beneficiaries. (PR)
