Yadav said the Madhesi people were ready to retaliate against such acts.
Speaking to journalists in Rajbiraj on Sunday, Yadav warned that the Madhesi Morcha would soon begin its nationwide protest. “We have given the government a week to address our demands. If the government does not act on time, we will launch a national protest,” said Yadav.
The new agitation would continue until discrimination and inequality ended in the Madhes. “CPN-UML leaders misbehaved with the Madhesi people in the past, which resulted in the anti-UML sentiment in the Madhes,” he remarked.
Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato said they would expose the racist attitude and behaviour of the government in the international community.
“The Saptari incident is the outcome of the UML’s ego and racist attitude,” Mahato charged. The two leaders were in Saptari to attend the mass funeral on Saturday of five persons who were killed in police firing on Monday.
