Oppo, a smartphone brand, has started pre-booking of its new phone, F3 Plus, in the domestic market.Oppo, a smartphone brand, has started pre-booking of its new phone, F3 Plus, in the domestic market.
The smartphone features dual front selfie cameras, including first-ever 120-degree wide-angle ‘group selfie’ camera; a 16-megapixel rear camera; and a 4,000 mAh inbuilt battery.
The 16-megapixel front camera of the smartphone builds upon the technology of its previous model, F1s. At the heart of this camera is the improved sensor, which allows for improved exposure and gives a visual pop to images. The f/2.0 aperture allows for a brighter photo when taking a selfie at night along with producing clear foregrounds matched with the perfect amount of background blurriness.
“Oppo is the industry leader in selfie revolution. And the dual selfie camera F3 Plus will reinforce our position as the selfie expert,” said Sky Li, global vice president and president of Oppo India.
The latest Oppo smartphone has a specialised 120-degree wide-angle 8MP front camera, which captures wider views, or 105 percent more than a regular 80-degree lens. This allows more people to fit in the frame with minimal lens distortion.
The F3 Plus is also packed with a rear camera that produces high quality pictures. The focusing speed of the rear camera is swift and functions well in low-light environments. The rear camera also features 1/2.8-inch IMX398 sensor jointly developed by Oppo and Sony, which features dual phase detection autofocus technology.
“This technology ensures 40 percent faster focusing speeds even in low light environment,” says a statement issued by Oppo. The rear camera also features f/1.7 aperture.
The F3 Plus is powered by an octa-core processor backed by 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone supports up to 2 Nano SIM cards or 1 Nano SIM card plus a microSD card. The storage capacity of the phone is expandable up to 256GB.
Among others, the phone comes with ColorOS 3.0 skin powered by Android and features inbuilt privacy protection along with Avast-based virus scanner.
The phone has a standby time of more than 284 hours and can be charged four times faster than standard batteries, as it features VOOC flash charge solution. “Users can talk for up to 2 hours by charging the phone for just 5 minutes,” says the statement.
The F3 Plus is packaged in a metal unibody, with a 6-inch, 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 screen, which provides the ultimate protection against drops and scratches. It also comes with “lightning-fast” finger print reader, which allows users to unlock the phone in a mere 0.2 second.
