Mar 29, 2017- The Ministry of General Administration has prepared a preliminary draft report with the provision to have a maximum of 16 ministries for central government in the new federal set-up.
A subcommittee formed to study the matter has suggested 12 to 16 ministries at the centre, said Nanda Raj Gyawali, a member. According to him the names of the ministries will be decided after finalising the number.
The government had formed a study committee under the coordination of Mohan Krishna Sapkota, secretary at the Ministry of General Administration, to suggest the number of ministries in the centre and provinces. The committee had formed a subpanel to assist the committee. The number of ministries will be suggested for provincial level after finalising their number at the centre, Gyawali added.
