Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi has warned of quitting the government if he is not made senior to two other deputy prime ministers.
Nidhi and Kamal Thapa, another DPM in the Pushpa Kamal Dahal government, have been bickering over seniority for long, which once again on Thursday resulted in the cancellation of a scheduled Cabinet meeting.
At a meeting with ministers from the Nepali Congress that he had called, Nidhi said he would not delay “in tendering his resignation if Thapa is put above him,” according to Minister for Commerce Romi Gauchan Thakali.
