Security agencies have deployed their personnel, both uniformed and plainclothes, at the border to check unlawful activities that could take place in the run up to the May 14 elections.
Superintendent of Police Tek Prasad Rai said they have been instructed by the local administration to step up security surveillance at the bordering areas and they have made the arrangements accordingly.
Four people held for anti-poll publicity
Police arrested four persons on charge of carrying out anti-poll activities in Nuwakot district. Security personnel detained Bikash Lama and Raj Kumar Lama of Gerkhu in Nuwakot, Shankar Tamang and Prapojan Sharma of Chitwan while they were pasting posters with anti-election message in Bidur Municipality-1 on Tuesday.
