NSN-led front ends hunger strike

- Post Report, Kathmandu

Apr 22, 2017-

Without any achievement, the Naya Shakti Nepal-led 68-party front has concluded its week-long relay hunger strike being staged at Ratnapark, with a vow to come up with a stronger protest plan soon. NSN leader Parshuram Tamang said the front would continue the fight for the election symbol. However, the party’s central executive committee has decided to focus on preparations for the local level elections while continuing with the fight for the symbol. Concluding the protest, Vice-chairman of Communist Party of Nepal Revolutionary Maoist CP Gajurel charged that the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government was against national interest. Therefore, the front also had to focus on a movement for national sovereignty. (PR)
