Bishnu Tamang, of Sindhupalchok, was arrested in the Capital on Friday. Trafficked women had lodged complaints with the CIB.
Lately, a complaint was filed against Tamang for his role in trafficking of women. On February 22 last year Nepal Police had rescued a 26-year-old woman from Barhabishe of Sindhupalchok. She had been trafficked to Delhi and later to Dubai, Kuwait and Iraq.
SP Mira Chaudhary said traffickers lure girls with attractive job offers and take them to Delhi. A team of traffickers was caught planning to sell some girls in the Gulf states, she said.
