Talking to reporters in Biratnagar on Monday, Thakur said his party would take part in the polls if the government created an environment for the same by amending the constitution. He added that preparations were being made to register the recently unified party with the Election Commission and the district election offices.
The RJP chief said constitution amendment was essential also to address the aspirations of the Hindus who are a majority in the country. Thakur clarified that his party had decided to roll back all the protest programmes after the government expressed its commitment to implementing the past agreements.
