Nepal-China consultative meet today

The 11th Nepal–China Consultative Meeting at the Foreign Secretary level will take place in Kathmandu on Thursday.

Chinese Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs Kong Xuanyou has already arrived in Kathmandu for the meeting, according to the Foreign Ministry.

The meeting will take stock of the bilateral relations and assess the progress 

made on various pacts and understanding reached between Nepal and China in the past. 

According to sources, the meeting will dwell on various aspects of bilateral ties including the progress being made on pacts reached between Kathmandu and Beijing during recent China visits by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and his predecessor KP Oli.

On the margins of the event, the Chinese delegation is also scheduled to meet several top Nepali officials, including President Bidya Devi Bhandari, PM Dahal and Foreign Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat.
