A fire broke out in the factory of Tiger Brewery Pvt Ltd at Mainahiya Suddhodhan Village Council in Rupandehi, causing a huge loss of properties on Thursday morning. Police said the fire may have been caused by a short circuit in the factory’s electricity generator.
A fire engine was called from Butwal Sub-metropolis to put out the fire. A brewery representative said that properties worth around Rs 20 million were destroyed in the incident.
Similarly, an early Thursday morning fire at Harinagara Village Council-6 in Sunsari reduced 14 homes and animal sheds to cinders.
