2 die, 11 injured in Bheri jeep crash
Apr 29, 2017-At least two persons, including a child, were killed and 11 others injured in a jeep accident at Pipalchaur in Aathbiskot Municipality-14 of Rukum district on Friday.
The vehicle (Ga 1 Ja 206) skidded off the road and plunged 100 metres into the Thuli Bheri river.
Police identified the deceased as one-year-old Srijan Buda of Chaurjahari Municipality-8 and Kum Bahadur Basnet, 24, of Sakla, Jajarkot. The four-wheeler was en route to Radibazaar from Chepare, police said. Inspector Thamman Bahadur Rajali at the District Police Office said 12-year-old Dhan Bahadur Oli, who was also a passenger in the jeep, had gone missing in the river.
The injured have been taken to the District Hospital Jajarkot and the Chaurjahari Hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident has not been established as the jeep driver is at large, police said. (PR)
