Designer Gautam to feature at Asian Designer Week

Along with Gautam’s, the regional fashion gala will also have on ramp works by 50 designers from countries such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and India.
At the event, Gautam’s summer collection, Himalayan Odyssey, a selection of 20 designs, will be flaunted at the ramp by 16 models, with actor/model Paramita Rana taking on the role of showstopper.
Speaking about the upcoming event, designer Gautam said: “This is our [brand’s] debut on an international runway and we are proud to showcase products crafted in Nepal.”
“The collection to be showcased is inspired by the vivid natural beauty co-existing with hardworking people from the Himalayas,” Gautam added, speaking to the Post, “That gives us a confluence between originality and simplicity rooted in ancient cultures which also represents a modern-day Nepal. The designs and patterns of the collection are based on strong bicolour from light palettes that reflect elegance and royalty.” The three-day event will close on May 7.
