Kailali win, set up APF clash

The victory meant Kailali finished runners-up behind Group ‘B’ winners Rising Cricket Women (RCW), who advanced to the last four on Saturday.
The RCW will take on Group ‘A’ runners-up Milan Cricket Club, who also advanced on Saturday after finishing behind APF. Both the semi-finals will be held on Monday.
In the last league game of the six-team tournament, Bara could only muster a lowly 67-9 in their allotted 20 overs with Saraswoti Pun contributing an unbeaten 19 runs.
Bara’s struggles with the run was evident by the fact that the larger chunk of the total came courtesy extras (17).
Suman Bist took two, while Kabita Kunwar, Anjani Chand and Laxmi Saud snared one wicket each for Kailali.
Opener Manju Bokati, who was adjudged player-of-the-match, saw Kailali home with an unbeaten 33-run innings.
Bokati struck four boundaries in her 38-ball knock. Kabita Kunwar also scored a fluent 22, her 26-ball innings was studded with three hits to the fence.
Bara bowler Samana Pun returned with figures of 1-20 off four overs.
The tournament Rs 200,000 for the champions and Rs 100,000 for the runners-up.
