Addressing a function in the Capital, former prime minister Oli urged the ruling Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) to maintain the dignity of the government.
Attorney General boycotts the bench and openly lobbies for court’s verdict in government’s favour, Oli said, while questioning the activities of Speaker Onasari Gharti. “While the opposition party is objecting the move, the Speaker tries to continue with the meeting and organises a press meet to urge everyone to stay in limit,” he said.
The UML chairman also criticised the Election Commission for its inaction even as the government “continues to violate election code of conduct with controversial decisions”.
Claiming that local level units have been changed after the declaration of the election date, Oli accused the ruling coalition of splitting the units for fear of a UML victory.
