PM Dahal has maintained that he will honestly hand over power to the coalition partner as per the agreement.
Though the meeting did not fix the date for the PM’s resignation, leaders claimed that Dahal would address Parliament within a day or two for quitting. “PM’s resignation will depend on the House schedule,” said Maoist leader Dev Gurung. “However, things will be different if Deuba thinks otherwise.”
Another leader Mani Thapa said the PM would tender resignation by Wednesday and the caretaker government would introduce the budget for the fiscal year 2017-18.
