The National Reconstruction Authority has deployed 13 female engineers to Nuwakot and Dolakha districts to collect information of those earthquake victims who were not included on the aid list of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA).

Around 1,000 households in the two districts have complained that they were excluded from the aid list.

Manohar Ghimire, of the NRA, said the team of engineers will assess the damage caused by the 2015 earthquake on the homes of the concerned families and prepare report, which will be the basis for issuing housing reconstruction aid.

Meanwhile, the NRA launched a toll-free phone service for the earthquake-affected people to make queries and register complaints.

The service is expected to benefit 100,000 earthquake victims, NRA Chief Executive Officer Govinda Raj Pokharel said on Wednesday.

The NRA has set up two numbers 1660-01-72000 and 980157211 for the 24-hour service with the financial and technical support of UNDP.
