Friends Club and Chyasal Youth Club registered wins in the Lalit Memorial Under-18 Football Championship at the Anfa Complex in Satdobato on Friday.

Friends hammered Far-western FC 4-1, while Chyadal eased to a 2-0 win over Nepal Armed Police Force (APF).  

Friends scored all their goals in the first half with Dipesh Prasain opening up the floodgates by scoring in the 11th minute. Rumesh Bartuala extended their lead four minutes later before Dhiraj Shrestha made it 3-0 in the 33rd minute.

Prasain added his second for Friends in the 45th minute. The result meant Friends have six points from two games and will take on Nepali Army team in their last league match.

Both the teams are all but assured of their quarter-final berths.

In another match, Susan Shrestha put Chyasal ahead with a 19th minute goal before Sunny Byanjankar added the second goal against APF.
