Jun 4, 2017-
An Indonesian minister said on Friday that the government would launch 55 new strategic projects through a revised presidential decree in the near future. National Development Planning Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro said the new projects were valued at 1,198 trillion rupiah ($89 billion) and will be financed by state budget and private sector. Among those projects were toll roads and railway trains that would be jointly carried out by government ministries, state firms and agencies, he said. Bambang added that development of mid-haul passenger planes was also part of the new projects. “The indigenous aircrafts to be developed under strategic projects were R80 and N245 which require 19.5 trillion rupiah and 2.5 trillion rupiah respectively,” Bambang said in his office.
