M&S NEXT selects 6 cos for accelerator
M&S NEXT Venture Corp has finally selected six companies that will go through a rigorous four-month long acceleration process. The programme initially received 230 applicants, where after multiple rounds of screening, six of the most promising businesses were chosen.M&S NEXT Venture Corp has finally selected six companies that will go through a rigorous four-month long acceleration process. The programme initially received 230 applicants, where after multiple rounds of screening, six of the most promising businesses were chosen. These businesses represent a wide variety of industries that aim to help the country, ranging from IT companies to ones that work with rural agricultural products.
In the next four months, these companies will be going through a series of acceleration processes like refining of business models, stakeholder networking, funding and more. These companies will be mentored by prominent businessmen in Nepal like Ananda Tuladhar and Shailendra Raj Giri.
Some of these companies are Danfe Solutions, Home Automation, Eton Technology and Farm to Fingers. Danfe Solutions is an IT company that provides management services for restaurants. Home Automation is another IT company that allows users to monitor their home or office security on their phones and tablets.
Likewise, Eton technology is a company that allows schools and students to keep track of their academic progress, needs and more.
Farm to Fingers is another company that was selected and their aim is to promote indigenous products from the rural parts of the country to the masses.
NPAC is an agricultural company that plans to improve cultivation and farming of kiwi fruits in Hilly and Himalayan districts of Nepal. Lastly, Margo Nepal is a beverage company using organic Marpha fruits to provide 100 percent pure juice.
M&S Next Venture Corp, which started as Asian Ventures in 2012, is a support system enabling entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses in Nepal. The venture will help entrepreneurs, provide education, mentorship and market exposure, share office space and resources, and provide a supportive community, valuable networks
and access to funding through NEXT Launch Pad, NEXT Venture Hub, NEXT Venture School and NEXT Venture Fund.
