Natta hosts sales mission in China
The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Natta) hosted the Nepal-China Sales Mission 2017 in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou on Friday.The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Natta) hosted the Nepal-China Sales Mission 2017 in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou on Friday.
The event was attended by Nepal Ambassador to China Leela Mani Poudyal and Li Jian Dep, director general of Foreign Affairs Office, Guangdong, and Mao Cheng, vice-chairman of the Tourism Administration of the Guangdong Province. The programme was attended by 200 Chinese tour operators, electronic and print media representatives, airlines operators and non-resident Nepalis based in Guangzhou.
The business-to-business meeting that followed the programme lasted for two-and-a-half hours. Poudyal stressed on the need to attract Chinese tourists to Nepal by tapping on the potential of natural beauty, heritage sites and other attractions. He said that the government was committed to support Chinese travellers visiting Nepal. Li and Mao assured that their province will encourage citizens to visit Nepal. The sales mission was supported by the Nepal Tourism Board, Nepali Embassy in China and China Chamber of Tourism, China. The mission will also be held in Hangzhou and Beijing.
