Police arrested two members of a gold smuggling racket from Capital’s Tilganga on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Metropolitan Police Range, Teku, arrested Deepak Pradhan, 33, of Itahari, was caught red-handed at the Tribhuwan International Airport with 1,400gm gold hidden inside a master cylinder used in the vehicles. 

During an interrogation, Pradhan revealed that Rojina Rai, 24, of Bhojpur currently residing at Harisiddhi, Lalitpur, had sent him to receive the cargo her husband had sent from Bahrain.
