Nepali director at ASSITEJ summit
Nepali theatre director Kedar Shrestha is participating at the International Director’s Seminar organised by International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ) in Germany.Nepali theatre director Kedar Shrestha is participating at the International Director’s Seminar organised by International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ) in Germany. The seminar, themed Street and Crossroad, features 26 theatre artists from 23 different countries who will be discussing the importance of street drama.
Shrestha, the director of plays such as Bhoko Ghar and Maan vs Mati, who has been working in Nepali theatre for almost a decade, had also represented Nepal in theatre festival, Next Generation, held at Germany two years back. Artist Shrestha has been working actively to promote children theatre and development of child threatre as a director of Theatre Centre of Children over the years.
The seven-day-long seminar will have discussions on the topic of street drama where artists will be sharing the situation of street drama in their respective country along with the discussion about the importance of street theatre. The seminar will also feature interactive sessions and workshops for the artists.
The seminar will run till June 18.
