4 Scrub typhus cases in 2 mths

Four cases of Scrub typhus, a bacterial disease caused by intracellular parasite, Orientia tsutsugamushi, have been reported in Chitwan in the last two months. Ram Kumar KC, vector control officer at the District Public Health Office, said the patients were being treated after the lab results confirmed they had contracted the disease. (PR)
