Manisha Koirala, who has emerged off late not just as a resurgent actor but also a motivational speaker and a vocal advocate for yoga, will be speaking in the Capital on Wednesday, marking the International Yoga Day. The talk is being organised by the Embassy of India in Nepal in association with Indian Women’s Association.  This is the third edition of International Day of Yoga, which was first declared by the United Nations General Assemby, in 2014—the declaration came after a speech by Indian prime minister Narendra Modi during his address to the UN General Assembly. The theme for this year’s celebration is Yoga for Health. Actress Manisha Koirala has been a vocal champion of Yoga. “As you all know wellness is my passion and an integral part of wellness is Yoga and here I am,” Koirala writes in her blog, about her visit to Thailand to train as a Bikram Yoga teacher. “There are days where I feel I have taken on too much… Bikram Yoga twice a day, 90 mins each session in 105 Fahrenheit temperature trying to perfect the 26 postures and all this among experienced practitioners...”  The event will take place at Hotel Shangri-la in Lazimpat in the Capital, 3:30 pm onwards.
