Minister: Local councils will improve public schools

Education Minister Gopal Man Shrestha said on Saturday that there would be improvement in quality of education at community schools after the local level elections.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Syangja-Kathmandu Liaison Committee to felicitate him in the Capital, Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha argued that the quality of education at community schools will start improvement after elected representatives assume office with authority to take decisions. Shrestha added that the Ministry of Education is working to implement the vocational education policy.

He also laid stress on creating employment opportunities in the country to stop brain drain.
