The proprietor of Butwal Apparel in Tulsipur and former vice president of FNCCI-Tulsipur Chapter, Shrestha was abducted by an unknown group on June 9. His dead body was found on Friday at Jhimpe Renje Jungle of Chatreshwow Village Council in Salyan district.
The FNCCI has demanded that the government provide reasonable compensation to the victim’s family and immediately arrest people involved in the murder.
Issuing a press statement on Friday, the FNCCI expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
The FNCCI has also urged the government to ensure rule of law in the country. “The government has not provided adequate security to entrepreneurs despite FNCCI’s frequent requests,” the press release states.
The frequent killings of entrepreneurs with no action against the culprits have encouraged criminals to repeat such brutal acts, the statement adds.
