After the event, Paudyal lauded Nam in a courtesy call and wished for strengthening relations between the two countries, the Nepali Embassy in China said in a statement.
Describing the current situation in the Korean peninsula, Kim requested Nepal for a fair understanding of the situation and to support an objective solution of the issues “in favour of unflinching sovereign right of DPRK as an independent nation”.
Paudyal also shared Nepal’s stand of resolving any dispute, including that of Korea, through dialogue and all parties abstaining from activities that escalate tensions.
Nepal wishes that the same approach should apply to the Korean peninsula.
