The Supreme Court has postponed the next hearing on the writ petition of DIG Navaraj Silwal on IGP appointment case until August 3 after a hearing did not complete on Thursday.
An extended full bench led by Acting Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli heard the writ petition on Thursday.
Justices in the bench included Mira Khadka, Om Prakash Mishra, Kedar Prasad Chalise, Sharada Prasad Ghimire, Prakash Man Singh Raut and Purushottam Bhandari.
The hearing has been postponed till August 3, said SC Spokesman Mahendra Upadhyay.
DIG Silwal had moved the SC on April 11, seeking annulment of the decision to promote Prakash Aryal to the IGP.
