Ashoka Pillar submerged
Jul 24, 2017-

The stone structure in Gothihawa, Kapilvastu, which was built by Ashoka, the ruler of ancient Maurya empire in 259 BCE, could be damaged unless immediate steps are taken to drain the water, said Krishna Bahadur KC, an archaeologist at the Lumbini Development Trust.
