Saying at a meeting that the government formed the commission late, committee members expressed their doubts over the possibility of holding provincial and parliamentary elections by January 21, 2018.
The government formed the CDC under the leadership of former Supreme Court justice Kamal Narayan Das last week.
The meeting chaired by UML Vice-chairman Bamdev Gautam also asked the commission to stay away from political interference and to complete its task on time.
“The Constitutional Delimitation Committee should maintain impartiality and objectivity [in its recommendations],” read a statement issued by party Secretary Pradeep Gyawali.
