Tuin link over Bhotekoshi at Larcha
Jul 30, 2017-A tuin crossing has been set up over the Bhotekoshi river at Larcha in Sindhupalchok, after a temporary steel structure fixed over the river collapsed on Saturday.
Armed Police Force DSP Bimal Dangi said the tuin had been installed in a temporary arrangement. Vehicular movement along the 5 kilometre stretch of the Kodari Highway came to a halt after the Larcha bridge that connected the area with the rest
of the district was destroyed in a massive landslide last week.
After the incident, people of Marming, Phulpingkatti and Listikot were compelled to walk at least three hours via the landslide-prone terrain of Dugunabhir to reach the other side of the highway.
On Thursday, Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet inspected the site where the bridge collapsed and assured the local people of building a Bailey bridge there.
